Help Puppy Receive Life-Saving Medical Treatment
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Millie Muffin. I am writing on behalf of my Mom and Dad, Kendra Porter & Austin Paswaters. I am an 11-month old Newfoundland puppy, and I recently got very sick and have stumped my vets.
Initially, I was taken to the vet for a fever of 105, excessive drooling, panting, loss of sleep and appetite, and severe weight loss. The vet determined I had a gum infection and needed a procedure to pull my tooth. However, once I was in surgery, they decided that wasn't the issue and referred me to Colorado State University - Veterinary Teaching Hospital. I had to stay overnight in the emergency room, where I received plenty of fluids and further testing.
My mom, Kendra, received a call this morning (2/15) that I've been having focal and full-body seizures all night.
This afternoon I had an MRI and a cerebral & spinal tap and found I have meningitis, a brain hemorrhage, extra liquid on part of my heart, fluid in my abdomen, and my breathing isn't matching my heartbeat.
I’ll be staying in the hospital for at least a couple more days.
My parents have to pay 80% upfront for each procedure or treatment...and let me tell you, I’m an expensive puppy!
We are lucky that I am getting the care I need and am in great hands with CSU.
We are hopeful that I will receive the necessary treatment and a restful recovery!
This is such a scary time for our entire family and me, and we could really use your support- Anything helps!
All donations will go towards my massive medical bills.
Our family is so thankful for everyone's kind words and support.
Thank you!
