We just got a puppy about two weeks ago from Craiglist, and unbeknownst to us, the previous owners didn’t do a good job at all of taking care of her. They played it off as her being shy and the runt of the litter. Little did we know they weren’t feeding her the right type of food - so much so that it inflamed her GI tract - and weren’t keeping her in sanitary conditions, so that she got coccidia (parasite). She vomited everything she ate and soon refused food altogether. At first we thought she was simply stressed from being in a new environment. However, when she hadn’t eaten anything for a day straight, we rushed her to the ER. 

She had to be hospitalized at two different ERs over last weekend due to her inflamed GI tract and subsequent seizure from hypoglycemia that came because of it. We got her pet insurance prior to any hospitalization but unfortunately it has a 2-week waiting period so it isn’t active until the beginning of September.

She was doing a lot better but then today she aspirated and is now in critical condition. She is currently at the ER and the doctors are doingeverything they can to save her. She needs to be hospitalized again but the medical bills are just getting too high for my boyfriend and me to handle. Anything helps.
