Help Puppy George With His Surgery

Hi my name is Ayisha and I am helping to raise funds for my friend Marica. Her dog George was doing fine on Sept 4th, cuddling and playing. Unfortunately, 24 hours later he couldn’t move his hind legs. He was taken to VCA Care Centre where a CT scan showed calcification that was putting pressure on his spinal cord. Surgery was the only hope of George walking again. He underwent back surgery on Sept 5 and is now recovering.

George was rescued from a hoarding situation in LA in the summer of 2019. He was brought up to Calgary by Furever
Homes rescue that fall and he became
Marica’s 30th foster dog. It took a few days to coax him out from under her couch, but once he did, he quickly settled in. He has brought such comfort to Marica after she lost her dog Conner, struggled with
health concerns and went through knee
surgery for her dog Kali.

For those of you that don’t know Marica
she is one of the kindest humans I know. She invests countless hours volunteering at Furever homes. When she’s not
volunteering she is always helping her
friends and family and is someone who
you can always count on. I’ve had the
privilege of knowing Marica since I was 5 years old and we reconnected through
our love of dogs. She needs our help now to pay for George’s surgery and I know
would be so grateful for your help! The 
medical expenses are expected to be 
in the range of 10-12 thousand dollars.
