Meet Chevy, a one year-old Basset Hound puppy. Chevy has the smelling capacity of a superhero and likes to get a good sniff of every single thing he has ever met. Unfortunately last month Chevy sniffed a foxtail. It was immediately removed at the vet, but this week the swelling in his head came back and he went from sweet puppy to Quasimodo overnight. Lab tests point to more foxtail still stuck inside that Hoover nose that made its way all the way to Chevy’s head.

Chevy thankfully finally has surgery scheduled to remove it and hopefully clear the infection. So far treatment estimates are about $10,000. It’s heartbreaking to see the little guy suffering like this and we would like to do everything we can to get him back to his healthy happy puppy self.
