While on my scuba Dive Master volunteering intership on beautiful Tobago, I met 2 little very special souls. Meet Binghi, who we rescued with his sister Nyah in Tobago. I got to name them. Nyah Binghi holds profound significance within the Rastafari movement.
The little puppies were found by the owner of the house. They were born under a car in their drive and had been there for a few weeks to 2 months. Their mother appeared to have left. We, Elspeth from the charity Venus Doggess of Love, and I looked for her but couldnt find her.
The puppies appeared dirty, had fleas, seemed to be dehydrated, and hungry. Nyah had a smelly little wound on the back of her neck with a risk of fly strike. We couldn't leave them to their fate!
So with the agreement of the owner of the house and of my kind landlady they came home with me to be cared for. They are thriving now ✨️
Nyah already has found her loving forever home on Trinidad, with doggie siblings to play with.
Binghi is a loving and affectionate little dog enjoying human contact and loves playing with my landlady's dogs. He is a fast little learner. The vet believes him to be if mixed breed with Shepherd and Pompek in the mix. She thinks he will grow to be a medium large size dog.
Now, Binghi has the chance to start a new life in the UK — but we need your help to make that happen.

Health certificate, vaccinations, and vet checks
Crate and airline-approved travel gear
Pet passport and other paperwork
Temporary boarding before the flight (if needed)

Why It Matters: The UK and Germany have higher adoption rates and a better chance of long-term care for dogs like Binghi. This journey could mean the difference between life in a shelter, life on the streets of Tobago, and a loving forever home.
Over the last month I have fostered him - feeding him, cuddling him, looking after his health, and helping him grow into the loving pup he truly is. He has come such a long way!
