Help My Rescue Pup Get the Surgery He Desperately Needs

Hi, my name is April , and I’m fundraising for my sweet dog (Pup Pup Piggy Pop ) who has been through more than any animal should ever endure. When I rescued him, he was a heartbreaking sight — underweight, covered in demodex mange, and riddled with shotgun pellets embedded in his face from previous abuse. Despite everything he had been through, he still had a gentle spirit and a desire to trust again.

Since bringing him home, I’ve worked hard to get him happy and healthy. We’ve had multiple vet visits, treatments, medications, and follow-ups to help him heal — physically and emotionally. Every step of the way, I’ve paid out of pocket because I believe he deserves a good life after everything he’s survived.

Now, he needs surgery for two serious medical issues:

1. Cherry Eye – He suffers from a prolapsed gland in his eye that keeps trapping debris underneath it, leading to repeated infections and discomfort.

2. Broken Tail – Likely the result of past trauma, his tail is damaged and causes him daily pain.

He’s made so much progress, but these ongoing medical problems are holding him back from truly being pain-free. The cherry eye especially is a recurring issue — no matter how much I clean and medicate it, he keeps getting infections because of foreign objects getting caught behind the prolapse.

Surgery is the only real solution now. Unfortunately, the cost is more than I can manage on my own after everything I’ve already put toward his recovery. That’s why I’m asking for your help.
