Pumpkin is the name of my furry baby. She has been my unconditional companion for the past 9 years. From the moment I rescued her from the shelter, I knew she was meant to be part of my life. In a way, it felt like she chose me—and I’ve always felt honored to be her person. Pumpkin is my very first cat, and she has taught me so much over the years. From learning her little signals when she wants to play, to watching her drink water straight from the sink faucet, to chasing each other around the house—she has filled my life with joy, love, and laughter.

Recently, I noticed that Pumpkin wasn’t feeling well, so I took her to the vet. When I didn’t see much improvement, I became worried and brought her to the emergency center at Angell Animal Medical Center. There, they discovered that she was slightly dehydrated and decided to run additional tests, including X-rays and an ultrasound. The results showed that Pumpkin had an object obstructing her intestines, preventing things from passing through her system normally. She needed emergency surgery to remove the obstruction. I was devastated hearing the news. After discussing the cost of the surgery and treatment, I became even more worried because I wasn’t sure how I would be able to cover the full amount of the bill. I applied for a loan but unfortunately was not approved, and I also do not qualify for financial assistance from private organizations.

I am asking for your help to cover Pumpkin’s medical bills and give her the chance to fully recover. The good news is that the surgery went well, and Pumpkin is now recovering.
