Hi, my name is Michelle, and this is my baby Pumpkin.

She is my whole heart and the sweetest little soul I’ve ever known.

Over the last few days, Pumpkin became suddenly and seriously ill. She was diagnosed with Triaditis, a severe condition where the liver, pancreas, and intestines all become inflamed at once. Her liver values became critically high, she turned very jaundiced, and she started eating less and less until she didn’t want to eat at all.

Pumpkin was admitted to the emergency hospital, where she has been receiving IV fluids, pain medication, anti-nausea medication, and close monitoring. Today she needed a feeding tube installed to make sure she gets the nutrition and medications her body desperately needs.

She is spending the night in the hospital and will meet with the internal medicine specialist again tomorrow. Depending on how she responds, she may need additional days of care.

Earlier this year, Pumpkin also suffered a severe eye injury from a dental surgery. She nearly lost her vision, but with treatment she was able to regain partial sight. She has been through a lot, and I’m doing everything I possibly can to help her fight through this.

The financial strain has become overwhelming.

I’ve already spent over $10,000, and each additional night in the hospital is another $4,000-$5,000. With ongoing treatments, medications, and follow-up care, the costs are far more than I can manage alone.
