This is Mew, my dear friend Jessica's dog. Yesterday, Jessica noticed that Mew was in pain and not her normal self throughout the day. When she took Mew to the vet, Mew was diagnosed with Pyometra. Pyometra is an infection in the uterus as a result of normal changes in the reproductive tract. It is a serious and life threatening condition that must be treated as soon as possible with surgery. Unfortunately, Jessica does not have the funds to support this surgery and needs any help at all to help Mew get the proper treatment she needs. The surgery itself is $3000 and due to Mew's low levels of platelet count, she needs to be hospitalized for serval days after. Anything helps and we appreciate all that you can do.
