Help Pudgy Recover: Support Needed
Donation protected
Hello. This is Bill Pierce. Some of you know me as professional wrestler Chris Michaels.
"Pudgy" is our beloved dog and a cherished member of our family. Just before the Memorial Day weekend, he had a little bout with diarrhea. We tried some rice and chicken broth and figured that it would clear up like times before. However, for the next 2 days, he just started vomiting and wasn't able to eat, drink, or hold down anything. Later, he became lethargic and so severely dehydrated that we rushed him to the Veterinarian. According to the X-rays at the office, it turns out he had a tumor on his spleen that needed to be removed and checked for cancer. That also required an ultrasound, which had to be performed at another facility.
After his 12-hour evaluation, Pudgy required emergency surgery. He is a senior dog, and we were unable to get insurance on him. We feel he still has several years ahead of him and had to go through with the surgery to save his life.
We were hit with a $7,000 Vet bill, and although the tumor came back benign, he still needs continued care on his spine and hips. This is all a tremendous and continuing financial hardship for us.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am up before the crack of dawn to work a full-time job, sometimes with 10–12-hour days, at the age of 63, and I have never asked anyone for help. However, this dog is like our baby, and I humbly ask for any help you can offer in this emergency. He's a good dog with a great disposition who loves everybody, and we want him here with us as long as possible. I wouldn't ask for myself but for him, our Pudgy. I am humbling myself. Pet Parents will understand.
Thank you for your kindness- I am forever indebted.
