Puca (pictured on the left with her sister Siabhra) was recently diagnosed with advanced hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This news has been devastating for Puca's loved ones, including her animal siblings and her guardian, Danny, who thinks of Puca as a family member.

Puca is not expected to live without treatment. This treatment is expensive and involves multiple medications, specialist visits with a veterinary cardiologist, emergency procedures to drain fluid from her lungs, and extended hospital stays. So far, costs incurred have totalled over $8,000 and more charges are expected. Danny is a professional musician whose income has been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
