Every dog leaves paw prints on our hearts, but some leave a legacy that deserves to be shared forever.
My name is Lisa, and after years of love, memories, and inspiration, I have completed my children’s book, The Great Akita Rescue. This isn’t just another children’s story,it’s a heartfelt tribute to my two beloved Akitas, Emiko and Rocco, who changed my life in countless ways. The book also honors 14 cherished Akitas who belonged to close friends and have since crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Their loyalty, courage, and unconditional love inspired every page of this story.
Through this book, I hope children will discover the values of kindness, compassion, friendship, and the importance of giving animals a second chance through rescue. It’s a story filled with heart, adventure, and hope, one that I believe families will treasure for years to come.
Now I need your help to take the final step: turning this completed manuscript into a professionally published book that can reach readers around the world.
Your contribution will directly support the publishing process, including:
Professional editing and proofreading
Beautiful cover design and interior formatting
Publication in e-book, paperback, and hardcover formats
Worldwide distribution through major book retailers
Marketing and promotional efforts to help the book reach families, schools, libraries, and dog lovers everywhere
Dedicated project management throughout the publishing process
Every donation, no matter the amount, brings this dream one step closer to becoming reality. If you’re unable to contribute financially, sharing this campaign with friends, family, or fellow animal lovers would mean just as much.
By supporting The Great Akita Rescue, you’re helping preserve the memory of 16 extraordinary Akitas while giving children a story that encourages empathy, love, and compassion. Together, we can ensure their legacy continues to inspire future generations.
Thank you for believing in this project and for helping bring Emiko, Rocco, and the other incredible Akitas’ story to readers around the world. Your kindness and support truly mean more than words can express
