We are raising money to get Tedi Toca's first book, "Lizzie's Word Machine," published. It is a local historical fiction novel set in Sand Lake, Rensselaer in the early 1920s. It follows Lizzie as she uses the stories of her family, passed down through a typewriter, to encourage her as she navigates college. It is a story of womanhood at its best, showing the sacrifices and resilience of women throughout Lizzie's life and the strength in the bonds she makes while away in college. It gives a glimpse into Rensselaer's past as well, which Tedi extensively researched.

Any dollar would truly help to make Tedi's story go from pen and paper, which she sat daily writing for the past two years at a local coffee shop/gift shop, into a physical book for everyone to read. We are all so proud of her and want to see this happen for her.
