Help PS 189 Get Devices For Remote Learning
Donation protected
Those tees my parents and their colleagues are wearing say "I'm a Teacher Unless the Avengers Call"...we all know that not all heroes wear capes!
At PS 189 (The Bilingual Center) kids who speak Haitian Kreyol are inspired, feel cared for, and feel seen by teachers like my parents. My mom is still teaching (IN PERSON) and though my dad retired at the end of the 2018 school year, he's still involved with the school as a volunteer with various committees.
Last weekend I spoke to Ms. Berthe Faustin, the principal of PS 189, and she let me know that the school has a serious need for devices and safety materials for students and teachers alike. Please help me raise $1600 before spring break so that they can close out the school year as strong and as safe as possible. All donations are appreciated and you can consider it a birthday gift for my 40th!
