As all of you are aware unprecedented rain and Hurricane Helene hit Asheville, NC very hard. My daughter, HB Rowland, works for an organization called Homeward Bound whose mission is preventing and ending homeless in Asheville through permanent housing and support. She is the Assistant Director of Housing Services at Homeward Bound including Compass Point Village which houses 85 individuals on a permanent basis. In addition Homeward Bound provides housing for over 200 more clients located across Asheville. They have been hit hard and have no clean water, power, cell service nor gasoline for the 2 new generators that they just had to purchase. Their immediate needs are met but as the long term kicks in they are having a hard time covering expenses for the residents and the staff that are working around the clock.
