Help provide much needed power for the Medical Herbalist's

Hi, my name is Kate and myself, my son Theo and his 2 best friends Cally and Chloe are fundraising for the Medical Herbalist's or the First Aid Tent as many of you may know them by.

Please join The Medical Herbalists Facebook Group for more information, link below.

Dedj started this 33 years ago on her own and it became very popular as people who she treated found out first hand how effective herbs are for acute conditions and for first aid. After about 4 years she had to get help from colleagues. Eventually it evolved into a training clinic for students on professional herbal medicine courses where they get hands on experience and supervision. They are now a team that provides the first aid cover for festivals. Everyone has a minimum of a 5 day first aid certificate and they always have at least one paramedic and at least one Emergency Medical Technician . They often have nurses doctors and other conventionally trained medical professionals.
They would love to raise enough money to fund a solar system to provide lighting, 2 x fridges for storing meds and feeding the team and for phone and medical equipment charging.
Myself, Theo, Cally and Chloe spend a lot of time in the woods and exploring our local area and one thing none of us like is the amount of rubbish we see on our walks.
So to raise money for the amazing work that the Medical Herbalist's do and to show our appreciation of having such a vital service at our festivals, we are doing a 4 hour sponsored litter pick in our local area.
Very kindly, Southborough SOS litter pickers have offered to lend us their equipment and they have an agreement with the local council which means they are allowed to leave one sack of rubbish next to a public bin, with a SOS sticker on it and it will be collected. They are providing us with some of these stickers so that we aren't carrying sack fulls of rubbish around with us.
Please check out the wonderful work that this team of volunteers do, check out their Facebook page and the shear amount of rubbish these lovely people pick up from our streets and woods.
We are planning on doing the sponsored litter pick on Sunday 28th September between 10.30am - 2.30pm and will be doing a Facebook live (or two) along the way, documenting our finds and keeping you lot engaged and donating.
There may even be some silly dares to keep the donations rolling in, so watch this space.
The Go Fund Me will be open for donations as soon as this goes live, right up to and during the day of the litter pick, with a window afterwards to give people an opportunity to still donate after the event.
If you've ever had to visit the Medical tent during a festival, then you will know just how needed they are.
During Smallworld festival in May this year, Theo had to attend the medical tent 3 times, for 3 different things and we would have been in a right pickle without them, so this is our way of saying thank you and having the comfort in the knowledge that should we need them again, with our fund raising, they will be there. ❤️
