Severely neglected dog found in Winthrop Harbor by local police.

We are raising funds for his medical care in hopes he can make a full recovery and find a loving home. He is suffering from severe malnutrition, various lacerations to the face and body, open sores on his hind legs, and puncture wounds to the neck and under his snout. We believe he has been living on the street for quite some time and used as a bait dog for dog fights. He is currently being looked after by a vet and with proper medical attention he is expected to make a full recovery.
He is a very sweet boy and has shown no signs of aggression towards people. He is currently being fostered by one of our officers until we can find him a good home to go to. At this time we need your help to raise the funds needed to bring this good boy back to great health. Any extra money raised will go towards the pup’s food and other needs at his forever home.
