It is with great sadness that we share with you an attack of the devil against our brother in Christ, Lorenzo Scott. In October 2019 Lorenzo was arrested and charged with a crime he did not commit. The allegation against him was made by his brother's ex-wife in retaliation for a domestic problem between the brother and his ex-wife. According to sources familiar with the family dispute, Lorenzo’s ex-sister in-law was upset at her ex-husband (Lorenzo’s brother) with whom she is in a custody battle. In an attempt to punish her ex-husband, she filed various charges against several members of his family including Lorenzo and his mother, both of whom were incarcerated, but praise to God, his mother’s case was dismissed. Unfortunately, however, Lorenzo was caught in the crossfire of his brother's marital problems and ended up as a casualty of their bitter custody battles.

This is truly a tragedy because Lorenzo is a Christian young man of sterling character; he is a Health Evangelist who worked at Living Healthy and Well Inc., he studied at Wildwood Lifestyle Center in Tennessee and upon completion of his health education program at Wildwood, he started his own ministry with a strong desire to help others reach their goals of becoming healthy both physically and spiritually. His ministry included health lectures, consultations, training in hydrotherapy, the judicious use of herbs, cooking classes and in-home lifestyle services.

 Lorenzo has been in an Alabama jail now for several months awaiting trial. He is unable to bond himself out or afford a lawyer to properly represent him. His family is unable to assist financially, leaving him in desperate need of our help. Our goal is to raise $15,000.00 to retain the services of a lawyer. We believe if we can get 150 people to contribute 100.00 or more, this goal can be met. (Of course, we will gratefully accept whatever amount you are able to give.) We are mindful that most of us are experiencing financial stress right now due to the pandemic, but we are appealing to your sense of justice and compassion and are therefore asking you to make this sacrifice.

 We are treating this situation with urgency because we are also very concerned about the conditions he is currently housed under, knowing that it is impossible to observe any of the CDC protocols to protect him from the virus.
