Hi. My name is Jason Weiner. I am 57 years old. I am currently homeless with my dog Jasper. Jasper is a black Labrador Retriever aged 14. We have been surviving day and night on the streets of NJ since December 21, 2025. Benevolent stangers have been angelically gracious and blessed us with a bus ticket to a warmer climate out west. We arrived last week but still remain without a home and on the street. No shelter allows for Jasper. I refuse to abandon him. I refuse to separate from my best friend. I refuse to allow him to be euthanized in a pound. Family always sticks together no matter what. Jasper and I are family. We are all we've got left. I have his back and he has mine. Physical, emotional, and financial domestic violence has destroyed our lives. My son betrayed us and my daughter abandoned us. I raised them both as a single dad from their ages 5 and 3. They are now 28 and 26 and no longer value me. They have erased me from their lives after taking and stripping me of all I had to give. The mental anguish has polluted my soul with grief, fear, and despair. Jasper and I were used and abused then thrown away like trash, left alone to rot and die on the street. Post-traumatic stress disorder floods my well-being. Yet I remain hopeful that God has a plan and a means towards a new healthy, productive, and prosperous life for the two of us.
