Help Provide Financial Relief for Katherine

On September 5, 2023, our dear friend Katherine Thomas’s world was forever changed when her mother, Wendy, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 69.

Wendy Thomas was an extraordinary woman who loved her family fiercely. Anyone lucky enough to have spent time with her can attest to the warm, generous, fun-loving, kind, and singular person that she was. Her untimely death has shaken her community and taken a deep toll on Katherine’s emotional and mental health.

As Katherine continues to navigate her immense grief and destabilization in the wake of loss, we are hoping that her friends and various communities can come together to offer support.

As many of you know, Katherine is a professional performer and gig-worker— a career that does not account for paid time-off or bereavement leave and she has already experienced a loss of expected revenue as a result of unforeseen time away.

The aim of this fundraiser is to assist Katherine with costs related to this aforementioned lost revenue, travel to and from Wisconsin to help her family in the coming months, and additional living expenses and financial burdens.
