Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

My name is Dave Ramos, and I am reaching out during the most difficult time of my life to ask for your support for my beloved wife, Marilou (Malou) Ramos. Malou has been diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy/ALS, a devastating and progressive disease that has now left her completely immobile and nonverbal. She requires total physical care 24/7, and doctors have told us that she may have only about six months left with us.

Malou is not only my loving wife—she is a devoted mother and a proud grandmother to our beautiful 4 ½-year-old granddaughter, Stella. She has always been the heart of our family, bringing love, warmth, and kindness to everyone around her. Now, as she faces this cruel disease, my greatest wish is to ensure she receives the dignity, comfort, and care she deserves in these final months.

While hospice care is partially covered, the cost of a caregiver 7 days a week is over $2,000 per month, which we must pay entirely out of pocket. I work full-time to support our family, but these ongoing expenses have become overwhelming.
