Help provide caregivers for Scott

Greetings,

This is my brother Scott. He suffers from ALS. In the past 2 years he has went through throat cancer, a radical neck resection and now ALS. This man could walk 10 miles and it was nothing to him. Now he is wheel chair bound, and has to have a caregiver for all care. He is unable to even feed himself.

He has exhausted all funds paying for caregivers. The state of Oregon is unable to provide caregivers to assist him, so there is no help there. We have private caregivers, but they must be paid. Being his sister I fill in, where I can. But I also work as a RN. Caregivers cost $140 a day. This is for a.m. and p.m. care, he sits alone in his apartment all day unable to drink water or eat between caregiver hours.

Please help us raise enough money to pay caregivers for a year. Sadly enough we hope Scott is still with us in a year. Sad to watch your brother slowly lose all his functions, and mentally stay intact and sharp as ever. Thank you for helping if you can.
