UPDATE: so far we have the supplies for making 55 tie-blankets but are still hoping for more donations to increase this total. The tying event will be held on May 3rd from noon to 4 at Blank Roots Salon (8600 Main Avenue, Clearlake, MN). Volunteers are needed!

I am raising funds to make and donate tie-blankets to the pediatric unit at the St. Cloud Hospital. All of the money donated goes to buying supplies; mainly fleece, fabric scissors, and ribbon. Two years ago I did this project on a much smaller scale and donated 30 blankets to the St. Cloud Hospital and this year I hope to triple that number!

This project is important to me because I believe everyone in the hospital deserves all the support we can give there. So many kids end up sacrificing a lot of their childhood being in and out of the hospital. I think small acts of support, like tie-blankets, can do a lot in helping kids know they are not alone in their fight. Knowing this, it is my goal to do everything I can to bring light and joy into hospitals to ensure every kid feels supported in their journey.
