Help Provide a Safe Home for Sandy Pittman.
Donation protected
My name is Celina Vasconcellos and I am seeking assistance in helping Sandy Pittman of Antlers. Several of Sandy's friends, family, and church family have decided to come together to help keep Sandy safe. Despite her best efforts and diligent upkeep of her current home, the foundation of Sandy's house is crumbling, resulting in several large holes.
Several years ago, Sandy lost her eyesight due to diabetic complications. She is an overcomer and does amazing things that many would assume to be impossible for a blind person. She lives alone, mows her own yard, makes repairs around her home, runs marathons, and much more. She has even raised thousands of dollars in past years to donate to the LeaderDogs for the Blind charity, a program near and dear to her heart.
Many people have looked at the the damage, but the expense to repair is exorbitant. Because of the kind offer of free labor from a local contractor and help from those who love her, a new, safer home could be constructed. She has reached out for help from the Choctaw Nation, but unfortunately they are not able to assist in this situation as she had used funding previously to make other repairs on her current home.
Through much discussion, many of us have come together and decided to try to raise money to purchase supplies to build a new house. It will be small and simple, but it will be safe. She deserves to be safe and to be self sufficient.
If there is any way you can help monetarily, please do so. If you can't, please share this with others. We are facing a big hurdle in coming up with this money, but are praying it is something we can accomplish.
