Hi, my name is Amy Baran and I am fundraising for the family of Adam Sverdlin. Adam lost his year-long battle with cancer on December 23, 2022, at the young age of 50. He leaves behind his wife of 11 years, Laura, and his two young kids, Samantha who just turned 6, and 9-year-old Jake.

Adam was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He and his wife lived a wonderful life in Camarillo, California. I have to say that they have succeeded in raising the nicest, most caring little kids that I have ever known.

Adam and Laura spent so much money trying to treat his form of aggressive cancer. They visited many doctors at UCLA Cedars, City of Hope, and Ventura County Specialists in Oncology hoping to get him into remission. They weren't prepared for such a young, healthy man who ran a marathon to not succeed in his battle. No one plans for life to be taken away so early, no one plans for this type of hardship, and as a result, Laura was left in a very stressful financial situation. I am raising funds to help Laura with the hard job of raising these kids alone. The money raised will go toward helping with expenses and if enough is raised, it will also go toward the future education of Jake and Samantha.
