Help staff understand their rights—and make informed choices.
When international civil servants face workplace problems, finding clear, reliable information should not be another obstacle. Rules are complex, tribunal decisions can be difficult to navigate, and useful sources of support are often scattered.
I’m Leonid Dolgopolov, and I’m developing Justice for the Blue: an independent volunteer initiative that brings practical information and support resources together at https://justicefortheblue.org/.
OUR FIRST GOAL: US$5,000
Help us build a stronger foundation for staff protection through research, accessible articles and practical guides. This initial fundraising goal will support the work needed to turn public rules and tribunal judgments into information that staff can understand and use.
WHAT YOUR CONTRIBUTION WILL SUPPORT
Research that helps staff. Review UN Dispute Tribunal and UN Appeals Tribunal judgments, official policies and other public sources to identify recurring staff-rights issues, explain important decisions and highlight questions that deserve closer attention.
Articles that make complex issues clearer. Write and edit accessible, source-based articles on staff protections, workplace fairness and available support. Clearly distinguish what sources establish from commentary and analysis.
Practical resources and connections. Develop guides and maintain directories of staff representatives, legal resources and independent lawyers so colleagues can find relevant assistance.
A dependable public website. Maintain and improve justicefortheblue.org so these resources remain accessible, readable and easy to find.
A PROPOSED BUDGET FOR THE FIRST PHASE
Research and source verification: US$2,000
Writing, editing and practical guides: US$1,500
Website, hosting and accessibility: US$1,000
Translation and outreach materials: US$500
Total initial goal: US$5,000
This is a planning allocation, not a statement of costs already incurred. Platform and payment-processing fees reduce the amount available; spending will follow actual funds received and project needs.
WHO RECEIVES THE FUNDS
I, Leonid Dolgopolov, will personally receive and manage the funds for the development and running costs of Justice for the Blue. I will share progress updates explaining the work completed and how contributions are used.
Justice for the Blue is an independent initiative, not an official United Nations programme. Contributions support this initiative and are not presented as tax-deductible charitable donations. General information and peer support do not replace advice from a qualified legal professional, and a contribution does not purchase legal representation.
HELP BUILD A CLEARER PATH TO SUPPORT
Every contribution helps move this work forward. If you cannot give financially, sharing the website, suggesting public resources or volunteering your research, writing or language skills can also make a difference.
Thank you for helping international staff access better information, stronger connections and a more informed voice.
