With the introduction of the president's new executive orders, LGBTQ individuals are slowly having their rights taken away. Transgender individuals are being barred from joining the military, and the status of current trans troops is unclear.
These attacks on the LGBTQ community extend to public service as well. Right now, transgender police officers are at risk of being removed from the police departments that want to be rid of "the woke agenda." There are at least two long-serving police officers who are being targeted by their own agencies, and one who is at risk of losing their job and possibly their commission for speaking out against these harmful executive orders and against the president himself on their own private social media page.
Police departments are powerful, and police unions are even more powerful than that. And when those two forces combine, it takes exceptional legal representation to protect oneself against them. This is why we are asking for your help.
By conspiring to use a coordinated smear campaign to harm this officer's reputation, their rank and employment status are now at risk of being taken away, all because they exercised their First Amendment right to speak out against a political figure that the majority of law enforcement officers support. This has caused the officer in question to be ostracized by their peers, and the powerful police union is emboldened to close ranks against their own LGBTQ "brothers in blue."
We need your help to raise the necessary funds to defend this police officer and others like them against the corrupt police departments and police unions that are conspiring to illegally demote and fire transgender officers for being "inconvenient." Please consider donating to the cause and/or sharing this fundraiser with others who are sympathetic to the plight of the LGBTQ community under this current administration.
*All unused funds from the current case will go to help other LGBTQ individuals fight the unjust executive orders issued by this administration
