My name is Erin, and I am fundraising to help my best friend, Heather Neal (Flowers) a grieving mother and grandmother who is fighting to protect her grandson, Jamari.

On August 6, 2025, her son Julian Flowers was tragically murdered by his child’s mother’s boyfriend, who shot him through a closed door. Julian’s life was taken senselessly, leaving behind a young son who has already endured more trauma than any child should.

Just two months after Julian’s death, Jamari’s mother went to the jail and married the man who murdered Jamari’s father. Then, on January 9, 2026, she filed paperwork with the court to change Jamari’s last name to the last name of his father’s murderer.

Julian’s mother is now forced into an unthinkable legal battle to protect her grandson—his identity, his safety, and his connection to his father. She is seeking custody of Jamari and needs help covering court costs, attorney fees, and legal expenses required to fight this case.

This is not just about money. This is about protecting a child, honoring a father who can no longer speak for himself, and ensuring Jamari grows up in a safe, loving environment with family who will always put him first.
