Hello friends,

My name is Alexa, and I’m reaching out for support during a critical moment in my life.

Twelve years ago, I left a violent and emotionally abusive home in search of safety and freedom. I’ve since worked hard to build a new life in France—teaching, making art, and caring for children. But despite everything I’ve overcome, I’m now facing a set of challenges I cannot meet alone. In addition to dealing with a recent destabilising grief, that I couldn't make it through without my community.

What I’m Facing

After years of emotional and financial abuse, I’m currently pursuing legal action to reclaim my autonomy—and trying to secure my rightful European citizenship, which has been withheld from me by my family. Without it, I’ve been cut off from basic rights like healthcare, work protections, and long-term stability.

At the same time, I’m managing serious medical and mental health needs that have forced me to reduce my work hours, making it even harder to stay afloat.

What I Need Help With

I’m asking for help covering four core areas:

Legal expenses for ongoing abuse-related proceedings

Fees to secure my European citizenship documents

Essential medical and mental health care

Basic monthly living costs (rent, food, transport) while I navigate all of this

Total goal: €4,200

This covers one month of essential expenses + key legal and documentation costs

This campaign isn’t just about surviving—it’s about finally stepping out of the shadows of control and reclaiming my life. I’ve dedicated my life to serving others through teaching, childcare, and art. I’m proud of the life I’ve built—but to keep going, I need help.
