Propel Deval’s MPH-DVM Journey at The Ohio State University

Greetings,

I am Deval Coleman, a native of Watts in South Los Angeles, CA and an aspiring Public Health Veterinarian. I was raised in the Nickerson Gardens, a low-income public housing development, and became the first college graduate in my immediate family, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Veterinary Science from Tuskegee University in Spring 2022. I have recently been accepted into the Master of Public Health program, specializing in Veterinary Public Health, at The Ohio State University for the upcoming fall 2024 semester! This opportunity represents a significant step towards my career goals in veterinary public health, and I couldn't be more thrilled.

As I prepare for this next chapter, I am seeking your support in raising funds to help cover the expenses associated with my transition into graduate school. Due to some financial setbacks, l am seeking additional support to cover said expenses. These funds will primarily go towards living necessities and initial costs before the program begins in late August, ensuring that I can fully focus on my studies.
