At Project Starburst, we believe no one should have to choose between paying rent and feeding their family. Every day, we support our neighbors in Mecosta and Osceola counties by providing food and basic necessities - with compassion, dignity, and respect.

But we can’t do it alone.

We are launching this GoFundMe campaign in hopes of raising $100,000 to help cover critical operational costs so we can continue our mission.

Why We Need Your Help

While donations of food and hygiene items are essential, it’s the behind-the-scenes costs that keep Project Starburst running day after day. These operational expenses allow us to meet growing needs in our community and include:

• Utilities, phone, and internet to keep our facility connected and running

• Staff and volunteer support to coordinate services and manage daily operations

• Office and program supplies to ensure efficient service

• Building maintenance, insurance, and essential services

These are the necessary - but often unseen - costs that make it possible to serve our clients with dignity and respect.

We serve over 12,000 individuals annually, distributing more than 500,000 meals and over 8,000 personal care items - and the need continues to grow as more families struggle to make ends meet.

Dignity Matters

Project Starburst is more than a food pantry. We are a safe, welcoming place where people feel respected, not judged. Every box of food, every roll of toilet paper, every kind word lets someone know they are not alone.

But keeping that space open and running takes resources.
