Every year in Missouri, hundreds of families face the unimaginable tragedy of losing someone to suicide. In those devastating moments, they're not just dealing with grief – they're navigating a world that often lacks understanding and specialized support for suicide loss survivors.

This is why Project Chelsie exists.

Founded by Tracy Oeser, who understands this journey personally, Project Chelsie is dedicated to filling the critical gaps in suicide bereavement support through education and specialized services.

Our Mission:
• Provide education about suicide bereavement and postvention
• Support specialized conferences focused on suicide loss survivors
• Address gaps in professional training for those serving the bereaved
• Create awareness about the unique needs of those affected by suicide loss

We're Ready to Launch!

Our foundation is solid.

Our board is assembled with expertise in banking, marketing, and healthcare.

We have our educational focus clearly defined, with plans to support specialized conferences that address crucial topics like men's suicide bereavement grief, medical causes of suicide, and training gaps in psychology and social work programs.

But there's one final hurdle: the federal application fee to become an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit!

Without official nonprofit status, we cannot:
  • Accept tax-deductible donations
  • Apply for grants and major funding
  • Establish credibility with educational institutions and healthcare systems
  • Move forward with our educational mission

The Need is Real

Behind every suicide loss are an average of 135 people affected in some way. In Missouri alone, that translates to thousands of individuals who could benefit from the specialized education and support services that Project Chelsie will provide.

Your Support Makes This Possible!

This campaign has one focused goal: raising the funds needed for our federal 501(c)(3) application fee.

This single step transforms Project Chelsie from an idea into an official organization capable of making real change in how we support suicide loss survivors.

Help us take this crucial first step.

Help us make Project Chelsie official.
