Greetings Friends, Family, and other Folks.

As some of you may or may not be aware, my very dear friend, artist, and creative personality extraordinaire who I’ve had the pleasure of working with, has undergone a bit of a hardship.

He’s been going to the playa (Burning Man aka “Raining Woman” as he likes to call it) as a performer & artist, MC/DJ/musician, for over the last two decades. He helped originate many things out there from the Art & language to the style, aesthetic, fashion, etc. (everything but the EDM music. As he likes to say, he brings his own music & plays live “newRage Rock n Roll” with his friends).

It takes a lot of time, energy, funds, etc. to go out there. He has told me that he doesn’t go there for a vacation or fun but it’s more for “work, community building and to help revolutionize culture consciousness & the arts”.

That being said this year, he was carrying a lot of Items, as he often does, including paintings, original art, instruments, camping equipment & other things to create the “pARTEeFACTS pop-up Perma Playa Portal” & to keep the vibe alive for the entire tribe out on the playa.

Basically then what happened then is he got a Rideshare from the playa to the GSR (Grand Sierra Resort) in Reno, & the person who he rode from the playa with insisted on taking one of his bags. He reluctantly agreed as he doesn’t usually let anyone take his bags out of his sight. She communicated to him about bringing his bags to the Bell Desk.

After losing track of the girl who took his suitcase, it was around 2-3 hours later he found out from her camp mates that she had left the bag outside at the Grand Sierra Resort & the bag ended up getting taken/stolen within 10 minutes of her having left it outside.

I know my friend Prof Johnee E very well, & the only reason he ever brings up a problem is not to dwell on it, but to focus on a solution.

Therefore, he’s been in touch with Reno Police Department & Grand Sierra Resort Security off & on since this incident occurred and the sergeant in charge of the department there said that there’s a slim to no chance of him getting his items or his suitcase back.

That being said, we thought it would be a good idea to help our friend Prof Johnee E raise some funds to cover the cost of what was lost in his suitcase, and to help him begin the next phase of his journey.

He made an itemized list of items contained within the suitcase, and we calculated the cost to replace these items.

As someone who’s always believed in supporting the arts & artists I wanted to help my good friend Prof Johnee E by creating this online fundraiser. Any and all support is greatly appreciated!

Prof Johnee E also wanted you to know that if you’d like to order custom, commissioned or original Works of Art or Hand signed Works of Art from him that this is also a possibility and option as well.

We hope to make the goal quickly so so our friend can continue making & living his art (which is his livelihood & legacy).

I know Prof Johnee E appreciates (as do I) any and all support to help him recoup his costs and be able to re-order all the items that were in the stolen suitcase as well as help him begin the next phase of his life’s journey.
