Hello, I am Priscilla Hurtado! I am a 22-year-old, low-income, Latina student from Anaheim, California attending San Francisco State University (SFSU). I am a Studio Arts and Art History student; this upcoming academic year is my last at SFSU. I was just notified that I have a past due payment that needs to be paid towards my university’s housing. I rely solely on financial aid and have work-study. Due to personal circumstances, I do not have a stable and reliable job. What is at stake is not having housing for the upcoming semester or year, not being able to attend my classes, and pushing my graduation further. I am asking for financial support from the community so that I am able to succeed in obtaining my education and degree with no hurdles.
