Hi, my name is Princess Kunadu and I’m an 18 year old sub-junior powerlifter. This year, by God’s grace, I have been invited to represent Great Britain/ England at three different championships:
This has been the journey so far:
> the IPF’s Worlds Classic Bench Press Championships in May (Texas, USA) which I was unable to go to due to A-Level Exams.
> the IPF European Championships in August (Turkey), which thanks to your help and the money raised as of 28/8, (£2000) I was able to attend and win a gold medal for Great Britain. This would not have been possible without your support.
> the CPF Commonwealth Championships in October (Sun City, South Africa) which I now find myself again seeking your support to raise £5000 to help me represent England and bring home another Gold medal.
As Powerlifting is not an olympic sport (for now), it fails to get enough funding and sponsorships to fully support its lifters, meaning that it’s a self funded sport and all fees to get to the above competitions must be paid by the athletes themselves. The fees for competing aboard are large and so I am asking for your help.
The money that you help me raise will help to cover costs such as:

- accommodation fee
- flight + travel costs
- travel insurance
- team kit
- a guardian to accompany me
- gofundme admin fees
After just a few months of competing, I’ve been able to take home 6 records including an English wide record (EPA), a testament to my passion and dedication to the sport. I’ve never fully understood the term ‘It takes a village’, but I understand it more than ever now because without all your support, I could not have gotten up to this point and be where I am now.
