Hi everyone… I never thought I’d be making something like this but I really need help for my cat. **Below, in the photos you will see the price breakdown for reference**
Her name is Princess. She’s about 5–6 years old. I rescued her when she was around 7 months to a year old, and she honestly chose us. She literally tried to come into my house through our living room window. Ever since then she’s been part of our family.
She’s always been a healthy, calm, loving cat. She loves her cuddles, super talkative, she’s very observant and patient, and she always just loves being around us. She loves playing with her little mouse, that’s her favorite little guy. She’s the most sleepiest, chunkiest, funniest girly pop I know !
On February 25th, 2026, Princess was diagnosed with a UTI. She was straining to use the bathroom and there was blood in her urine. We took her to the Vet immediately and we got her medication and thankfully it cleared up and she was back to normal.
The very next day, February 26th, 2026, we lost our other cat Sunkist in the middle of the night, unexpectedly. He would’ve been 3 years old this May… And just a few months before that, he had a urinary blockage and I had to pay about $4,000 for emergency surgery. He recovered from that and was doing great, so losing him suddenly 6 months later, like that was really hard on us and still is... The vets believe it was a heart attack and they said it’s actually common for young cats to have a heart attack with no signs of complications..
We’re still grieving with his loss… and now this is happening.
Today, April 25th, 2026, I noticed Princess was straining again and I saw blood in her urine again. I got really worried and rushed her to the vet thinking it was just another UTI.
Because she just had one 2 months ago, the doctor was concerned and wanted to do an X-ray to make sure there wasn’t anything else going on in her bladder. Just the visit, 1 Medication, and X-ray alone today was $369.50
The X-ray showed that she has a stone in her bladder that’s blocking her from being able to use the bathroom. The vet also said there’s a high chance there could be more stones or crystals that didn’t show up.
The only way to fix this is an emergency surgery called a Cystotomy, where they have to open her bladder and remove the stones manually. The vet said that this is genetic and it comes from down the line of her genes. After they complete the surgery, she’s required to stay in the hospital for 2 days so they can keep an eye on her and make sure nothing goes wrong . The cost for this surgery is $6,094.70.
Me and My Wife are honestly overwhelmed. Like we just went through losing Sunkist, we’re still grieving that, and now this is happening with Princess. It feels like everything is hitting at once and it's a lot for us financially and emotionally.
Princess is not just a cat to us, that’s really our BabyGirl. She’s been with us for years, through everything, and seeing her in pain like this… we can’t just sit and do nothing.
Me and My Wife never ask people for help, ever. This is actually our first time even doing something like this. But right now we really are asking for some support.
If anyone can donate, share, or even just help get this out there, we would appreciate it more than you know. Anything helps, seriously.
Thank you for even taking the time to read this. It really means a lot
