Princess has been through something no dog should ever experience.

A few weeks ago, Animal Control discovered her alone inside a home after her family had been unexpectedly taken away by ICE.

Somehow, Princess had been left behind.

By the time anyone realized she was there, she had been alone for weeks.

When she was found, the house was in terrible condition. The floor was covered in feces. Princess had no food, no clean water, and no one to care for her. She had lost a significant amount of weight, was severely dehydrated, running a fever, and incredibly dirty.

But the saddest part wasn’t just the neglect.

Princess was confused and heartbroken, clearly waiting for the family she loved to come back.

Animal Control knew that after everything she had been through, sending her to a loud, overcrowded shelter could break her spirit even more. Because of our relationship with the city and our experience helping animals in tough situations, they asked if we could take her in.

Of course, we said yes. (Hello, as if I could say no?)

And despite everything she endured… Princess is still full of love. She is friendly, gentle, and just wants to be close to people again. It’s honestly incredible how resilient she is after losing everything she knew.

We named her Princess because after what she has been through, she deserves to be treated like one.

We are raising funds to help cover:

• Spay surgery and veterinary care

• Daily care while she recovers and decompresses

• A collar, leash, toys, and a comfortable place to feel safe again

• High-quality food to help her regain strength and weight

• A professional social media campaign to find her the perfect forever home

We do have a contract with the city that helps us take animals in, but it’s very bare-bones and doesn’t cover the extra care and attention that Princess deserves.

Our goal isn’t just to help her survive.

We want her to thrive.

She’s already showing us how loving and resilient she is. Now we want to make sure the next chapter of her life is filled with comfort, kindness, and a family who will always be by her side.
