Dear Friends,
We’re reaching out to let you know that we are kicking off a campaign to help Prince get his surgery, and we need your help!
You may have heard Prince was diagnosed with Cruciate Ligament Rupture about 9 months ago. Two different specialists have recommended that Prince have a surgery involving metal plates, rods, pins, and possibly screws. The surgeon has insured us that this is ultimately the best solution and guarantees a 100% success rate. It will costs approximately $5,000 to cover the surgery portion and this does not include any cost for pre and post op.
We all love Prince because he has a fierce spirit and inspires so many owners in the community to keep your dogs healthy and happy. Prior to the pandemic Prince was a mascot for a local food Co-Op and would be seen at the local park interacting with the members and thier children.
The effects of this injury are devastating to our family. As many of you know, Prince is an Emotional Support Animal for my husband Doug. Prince is not only essential emotionally for Doug but also assist in many aspects of Doug's daily living and well being. The other option would be euthanasia and unfortunately this would be very detrimental to Doug's health and over all well being. Also, it’s just ridiculous for us to even consider euthanasia given Prince is 8 years old, has so much more to give everyone and a just an overall playful, sweet boy. He’s our son.
We are sending this call out to everyone for support with this surgery cost. I’m unable to cover the cost alone and Doug is on disability and a Veteran.
With your help even if it's just a few bucks it can help with this financial burden and relieve any additional stress for our family.
With Kind Regards,
Selena, Doug,& Prince Davis
