Hello friends, family, mentors, and supporters,

My name is Prince Zaire Bell, and I’m a focused, faithful, and purpose-driven student at Morehouse College, currently studying Sociology with a focus on mental health advocacy and a minor in Data Analytics. I am a Gilman Scholar, Ignite Fellow, Eagle Scout, and mental wellness advocate from Long Island, NY.I am humbly asking for your support as I work to raise $6,000 to continue my education at Morehouse College this fall. Morehouse has already been life-changing, and with your help, I can stay on this path to becoming a mental health advocate and leader who uplifts his community.

Right now, I’m completing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: studying abroad in Cape Town, South Africa as a Gilman Scholar, learning about public health and mental wellness in different cultures and global approaches to healing, mental health, and community care. But when I return, I still need to cover a $6,000 gap to continue my education.

❤️ Why I Need Your Help

The cost of attending Morehouse is over $56,000 per year. I’ve worked hard to earn scholarships, fellowships, and awards. Despite scholarships, fellowships, work-study, and grants, I still have a $6,000 gap in my tuition and housing for this fall. I need help to close the gap. My family simply can’t cover the remaining balance, and I’ve exhausted all available loans and external scholarships.

HBCU C2 Innovation Scholar – App design and coding for community wellness solutions using Apple Swift

HTD Leadership Fellow – Honors the legacy of Hugh Thomas Douglas through social justice leadership training

SIBMAP Scholar – STEM mentoring, career prep, and academic support for Black male student success

Morehouse Emerging Leaders Program – Training in mental wellness, leadership, and service

PFx Data Research Fellow – CDC research analyzing links between mental health and tobacco use

My Accomplishments & Character

I’ve had to overcome challenges related to processing and learning differences, but I don’t let those define me—I let them strengthen me. With determination and God's grace, I have:

✅ Earned Eagle Scout rank leading a book drive sending literacy materials to Ghana

✅ Earned over 20 academic and community awards, including scholarships from the NAACP, Delta Sigma Theta, and Kappa Alpha Psi

✅ Served in my local NAACP Youth Branch, Kappa League, Sheriff's Explorers, and earned the MyImpact Challenge Civic Award

✅ Completed the FAA Ground School Exam, and earned a Flight Certificate

✅ Received the Defensive MVP award in football, and lettered in five sports

What I’ll Be Doing This Year at Morehouse

Your gift will not only help me return to campus—it will help me give back:

IGNITE Fellow (Teach For America) – I’ll mentor and tutor students from high-need schools virtually each week, helping close the education gap.

SIBMAP Scholar – Serve as a STEM and leadership ambassador and participate in STEM-focused mentoring and development for Black male achievement.

Campus Mental Wellness Projects – I plan to lead mental wellness initiatives through campus workshops, peer outreach and campaigns to help reduce stigma and improve access to support for Morehouse students.

Continue striving to be a Morehouse Man who uplifts, inspires, and serves others through education, healing, and truth
