Help prevent premature birth
I am running a marathon to help raise money for a very special charity called BORNE. Their mission is to prevent premature birth and improve outcomes for mothers and babies, by investing in research to find answers, nurture talent and improve patient care.
Everyone should be able to bring their baby home. Our children have a wonderfully happy healthy cousin, who was born at 26 weeks gestation. It was a long road to bring her home and not an easy journey along the way. There are still questions unanswered as to why.
We would all like to stop this happening and this can only be through research and understanding.
In addition, my family and I would like to sincerely thank its founder, Professor Mark Johnson, for his expertise, time and wonderful care in the last 5 years that led to the safe delivery of our children. Most recently in 2020, he carefully managed a high risk pregnancy which could have ended very differently for us and we will forever be indebted to him personally. This is just a small way of showing our appreciation.
Please dig deep and help out a great cause that’s so close to our hearts.
