Help Prevent Homelessness for Sue's Family
Donation protected
UPDATE: 06.06.2025
We've been advised that leaving our home was the worst decision to make for Ky's sake with his disabilities. We are at this point staying in our home during the process and hoping and praying for a settlement before trial. Still no job for me. Just letting you all know where we are at this point. Please keep the prayers coming and if you feel the Holy Spirit tug at you to help, we greatly appreciate it. God bless you.
UPDATE: 06.02.2025
Well, the amount of our rent has now upped to owing 2 months of rent (May & June), 2 months of a pet fee, a late fee and the Conservice bill, totally $4,936.31. Come June 6, 2025 there will be an Unlawful Detainer filed, so we have to be out by June 5, 2025 to avoid an eviction but the amount due will be sent to a collection agency. Not something I wanted for me or my grandson on our credit report. All because my daughter didn't want to support the family that she set up and whatever health issues she says is going on, yet the doctors can't find anything wrong now. I have never had this happen in my 35+ years of renting. So, come June 5, 2025 my grandson and I will be homeless with our 3 cats. Not a good thing. I'm still looking for work with no luck. I guess God has a plan of some sort. But I'll tell ya, it's pretty scary right now. I cry all the time.
If anyone would like to donate to help us with this bill, or if the Spirit is moving you, anything would be appreciated. The amount that was donated here last time was for April rent. Anything that I've received so far, the management is not accepting cuz it's not half or all that's due. If we are out before the 6th the Unlawful Detainer will not be filed but the amount owed will go to a collection agency. If you can't donate, prayers would be greatly appreciated. This is beyond anything I would have ever dreamed would happen to me and my grandson, but it is and it's heartbreaking. My cats don't even deserve this.
Thank you all for caring and please keep the prayers coming. God bless you. And if you decide to donate, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
UPDATE: 05.27.2025
Well, we have 4 days left before my grandson and I are going to be homeless. My daughter's health issues weren't as bad as the doctor's had thought, but yet she never intended on working with our landlord for the May's rent. We received our 3-day notice on May 6th in the amount of 2261.61. This amount will pay off the May rent but we will still have to be concerned about June's rent that is coming due. My daughter really put us in a bad situation and is not really caring what it's doing to us emotionally, psychologically and mentally. My grandson is special needs and this is not helping him with coping and is affecting other issues with his ASD. We are hoping and praying that maybe someone can help with this amount to at least stop the eviction from happening so I have more time to find a job and be able to work out some kind of payment plan with our landlord for the June rent.
If you're able and would like to help us out, we would be deeply grateful. I know times are tough right now, so any amount would be a great help. We just want to keep our home and make it stable for my grandson so there isn't that constant worry about a roof over his head and a bed to sleep in at night, it helps to make him feel safe and secure.
Thank you for your support in helping us in our time of need. It is greatly appreciated. May God bless you abundantly in helping us.
UPDATE:
First off, I want to thank everyone who donated originally. It was greatly appreciated and helped immensely. But now, we have new problems arising that has brought me here again for extra help for the month of May. My daughter is still out of work and having more tests and procedures done for diseases we never thought of, like ALS and neuro-diagnostic testing. All this is putting a big strain on us financially and I still haven't secured a job yet. Just got knocked off another one, which makes 3 that I wasn't chosen for and have applied to over 120 jobs and still applying with no luck, except those 3.
I'm asking again for your help one more time to give us a little bit more time to figure everything out and maybe change our direction, but in order to do that, we need our home for another month. After this, it'll be done and we accept with whatever it is God is directing us to do. He decides our future and it's His plan the direction we go. I have been calling and checking with government help with no luck. Everyone is at capacity and rental assistance is not available. I'm checking with everyone, but it leads me to a dead end.
I know it's asking for a lot this time around, but we just need that extra help that allows us to get settled and for me to apply for more jobs to get more interviews on the block. Once I land a job, we're good to go. It's just getting my foot in the door.
And with all this on our minds, my grandson fell down the stairs last night in our parking garage taking out the trash and possibly broke his ankle which we're getting checked today.
A lot on our plate which is now getting overwhelming for all of us.
If you feel it in your heart to help one more time if you helped us earlier, we're overly appreciative. If this happens to be something God is putting on your heart, we'd be ever so grateful, but please don't ever feel pressured. Prayers help also, along with assurance and encouragement.
Again we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And pray God's abundance upon you, always.
God bless and thank you.
Hi , My name is Sue Smiley and I'm here to ask for help with an emergency on paying our Rent for April 2025. I have the first half of our rent of $1201.50 and am asking for the amount of $1500.00 as to not become late on the rent payment. We have until the 4th of the month to not be late.
This is being set up due to the fact that my daughter has gotten sick and is not able to work right now on a continuous basis and she's our main sole provider right now as I have not landed a secure job, but am currently looking daily.
I don't usually ask for help, which is a fault of mine, but this time I felt I needed to swallow my pride and ask for help in this situation.
Anything you decide to donate will help. I live with my daughter and my grandson who happens to be a Special Needs Adult and he's having a hard time with processing all of this. Knowing he might lose his home is triggering all those emotions that happen with an adult who has ASD. It's a different world for him and puts a lot of undo stress on everyone involved, especially my grandson knowing the possible outcome.
If you would like to donate to help us out for our April rent, anything will help, but please if you can't, that's fine. Prayers and uplifting encouragement is also appreciated. As God says, in Proverbs 19:17 - Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done.
Thank you for whatever you feel in your heart to do, but please don't feel pressured. May God bless you in your giving.
God's Blessings,
Sue Smiley
