Hello friends! t's your friendly jam and jelly lady here! I come to you now in a time of need. It's quite embarrassing but MEDICAL EMERGENCIES can strike any of us, unfortunately, at any time. As it turns out, I've had a stroke that I wasn't completely aware of (Dr. kept diagnosing as COVID). The rizitriptan that I was taking for my migraines started giving me convulsions (these mysterious episodes would happen overnight and were blamed on my cardiac with no results to bear so they were called "syncope"/passing out). Finally, one of these episodes happened in a hospital. That's just what I needed to have happened so I could get a MRI that showed the old TIA (small stroke).

Unfortunately, the State of Texas restricts anyone having such a seizure/convulsion from driving for the next 3 months!!! No working for me! Oh, and Uber is quite pricey if you use it all the time!

At the same time, I got word from my GI that I needed a liver biopsy. Turns out that the medication I take for my Crohn's is attacking my liver! It makes it act up from time to time with episodes of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), and I also just got diagnosed with hypotension (low blood pressure)- the hypotension seems to stay as the hypoglycemia comes and goes. I do now have some medicine I'm trying for the low blood pressure so I can participate in life again! No WONDER I felt like I fell into a hole and couldn't get out!

Since my stroke, I've been out of work. My recent seizures have caused me to have 3 oral surgeries in a span of just over a month. I really need some help with catching up on my rent now as my dental expenses maxed out my credit cards! I believe now with the right meds, I'll be ok. PLEASE HELP KEEP ME FROM GETTING EVICTED! The support programs are all gone but ONE!! And it's only open for ONE hour a month and there's no guarantee. Now with the government shutdown, my back is pretty much against the wall. I want to thank everyone in advance and please know I appreciate you more than you know!
