Help Preston recover, rest and reset

Our sweet friend Preston needs our help.

He recently moved to Minneapolis to start school for acupuncture, the next step in his journey to offering holistic and nurturing care to people he sees through massage and body work. While moving, finding a job and starting school, Preston began experiencing serious headaches. He wrote it off as stress and attempted to push through. But after a week of intense intercranial pressure he decided to go to the ER — and we're so glad he did. Preston had been experiencing a slow brain bleed, the source of which is still unknown. He's been in the ICU for a few days and is expected to stay a few days more to make sure he's on the mend. Doctors are confident he won't need surgery, and the bleeding seems to have stopped, but it's concerning nontheless.

What's most important is that Preston is able to go home and focus on getting better. This will require him to focus solely on school and not try to push it and work at the same time. Medicare will only cover a portion of his hospital stay as well. We're asking for anything you can give to help cover the cost of Preston's hospital bill while also giving him a small cushion to get better.

His spirits are high, but any medical experience is scary, and what's even scarier is facing the bills afterward. I'd like to see him have peace of mind in any way we can provide it. Preston says he hopes to "go back to the simpler things, cherishing the now and smelling the flowers." Let's help him get there.
