My name is Jeanette Hoskins and I am asking for help to offset the cost of care and lost wages for my grandson Preston Brown and his family (Emma, Anthony, Liam, and Olivia Brown). Preston was born 7/17, a beautiful 10lb 2oz baby. Within 24 hours of coming home, he was rushed to Children’s Hospital with a bowel blockage and rushed into emergency surgery. The surgery went well. Emma and Anthony stayed with him day and night. Over the next two weeks, Preston grew stronger and finally was ready to go home. One hour before he was to go home, he started vomiting bile and was rushed into surgery for the second time. This surgery was more difficult and resulted in a small piece of intestine being removed. While all this was happening, In order to stay with Preston around the clock, Anthony had to use FMLA, which is unpaid.
