Help Preserve Tattoo History & the Northwest Tattoo Museum

Donation protected
Hard times have befallen us. The Northwest Tattoo Museum has been a wealth of resource for Tattoo History, Research, and Exhibition to the Tattoo Community in North Idaho, the Northwest and Across the Country for the last 15 years. The Museum provides free tours, conservation, restoration, identification, does historical backgrounds, appraisals, and more for artifacts from the History of Electric Tattooing.
The Museum is Free of Charge and has been primarily funded by Founder/Curator/Historian J. Brown also a Master Tattooist, the small working Tattoo Shop area/exhibit inside the Museum, and a handful of folks from the tattoo community that have donated in the past.
The Museum has fallen on rough times with an unexpected recent expensive air-conditioning issue, loss of staffing, medical emergencies, going from open 7 to 5 days a week, and a low influx of visitors this year.
Lyle Tuttle once said "No Museum makes it on the price of admission!" Which is too true. Folks who visit the Museum rarely even drop a dollar in the donation box. Without patrons with deep pockets, or grants and such, the Museum relies on private funding.
We have tried to bolster income selling t-shirts, prints, flash sets, posters, and even a book. Sales of these items were to help with costs of our traveling Tattoo History Exhibits sharing Tattooing's past at Conventions. Seems often times they barely pay for printing.
Due to the lack of funds from a horrible winter and bad tourist season our savings are all but spent. As much as we hate to, we are asking for donations to keep the Northwest Tattoo Museum functioning, and to continue to bring Tattoo History and Research not only to the Northwest, but also via Social Media, we are able to share Tattoo History with the World.
So we are asking folks to give what they can, if they can. Even if it's the price of a Big Mac meal Much thanks for your contributions ahead of time to help Keep Tattoo History Alive!!!
