Help Preserve Sacha Wasi Traditions in Memory of Dr. Scott

Donation protected
Dr. Scott Irwin was a man who made a huge impact on the lives of countless people. He was beloved by many humans. Dr. Scott had this incredible ability to see the unique gifts of each individual and then help that individual acknowledge that blessing within themself. He devoted a great deal of his time, energy, and resources to helping individuals strive and to evolve the human collective.

Dr. Scott was the minister of the Ayahuasca church Soul Quest for several years where he stood beside countless humans as they faced deep traumas. His sheer essence and presence created a safe container for people to feel seen and able to move through deep hardships. After Soul Quest, Dr. Scott by chance was invited to Sacha Wasi to help with a group traveling there for ceremonies. While living and working beside the Sacha Wasi tribe during this time, he experienced and saw the needs of the families. Drawn by the basic but immediate deficits witnessed, he found himself never leaving Sacha Wasi but instead living there for the remainder
of his life. For the next four years, Scott worked diligently with the Sacha Wasi families and medicine people to create a place of healing for all those seeking answers. The retreat space of Sacha
Wasi highlights the traditional plant medicines of the Kichwa people that have slowly been disbanded by the tribal people as new influences have been adopted from modernization that have found their way to the Rainforest jungles. Ayahuasca and other plant medicines offered during the indigenous ceremonies carry wisdom and healing energies attuned to the surrounding jungles, planet, and universe. Dr. Scott’s most celebrated gift and favorite offering was the integration work he provided during retreats. Dr. Scott guided Sacha Wasi on the pathway to cultivate their centuries-old ancestral wisdom and teachings of plant medicines.

100% of the funds generated from these retreats went back to the Sacha Wasi as they began to build infrastructure within their village such as water purification, hot water systems, and a school that has brought in bilingual volunteers from around the world to educate the Sacha Wasi youth. He was most proud of the creation of the Wellness Clinic that not only offered medical services and needs to the immediate families, but all of the surrounding Kiwcha tribes were welcome to visit for emergencies or necessary medical needs. It was Scott’s intention to live at Sacha Wasi for his lifetime as a teacher and family member. While there, he adopted two babies, Pacha and Ellie, and was Padrino (Godfather) to two young brothers there. He spoke endlessly about the beauty of the Sacha Wasi people and how much they have to teach the world. A major driving force of Dr. Scott’s work was to help maintain the survival of the families and to protect the ancient wisdom, rituals, and teachings of the Sacha Wasi people.

If you are reading this, and Dr. Scott touched your life in some meaningful way, please consider donating to this effort to provide consistent retreats. We need transitional funds at the moment to ensure that his goals can be continued for the growth, protection, and prosperity of the Sacha Wasi People.
