Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Our small community encircles a beautiful lake. It is the heart of our daily lives and plays a significant role in our local and surrounding environs. The serenity of the lake provides a refuge for residents and wildlife. It is a vital and integral part of our community.

Unfortunately, like many New York State lakes, we are battling invasive aquatic weeds that threaten the health of the lake and diminish the quality of the surrounding communities. Finding solutions to invasive aquatic species and preserving water quality is a complex and expensive process. AND requires hiring professional assistance.

So we need help!

Our Mission:

We are raising funds to research eco-friendly options and pursue effective lake management plans.

Primarily, we need funds to pay for necessary services to build historical and comparative data and assist in identifying Silver Lake’s needs.

A water quality analysis and vegetation survey will provide essential information for developing a long-term, specifically-designed lake management plan.

Our goal is to:

Protect the water quality and vitality of the lake,

Support the natural beauty of the lake and the recreational enjoyment of its surrounding community,

Ensure the long-term health of the lake and the habitats it supports.
