Help Preserve Ayaruna Gardens in Memory of Javier Reguiero

Honoring Javier’s legacy by protecting a sanctuary in the Peruvian Amazon.

Dear friends, family, and community,

I am reaching out to ask for your support in preserving a very special place in the Peruvian Amazon — a 28-hectare botanical garden outside of Iquitos, dedicated to the memory of Javier Regueiro, beloved teacher, mentor, and friend to so many in the plant medicine community.

This land holds deep history. It was originally Sachamama Botanical Gardens, founded by Javier’s medicine teacher Don Francisco Montes Shuña. It was here that Javier underwent his first dietas and initiations into the work that would ultimately touch thousands of people worldwide.

At the time of Javier’s passing, he and I were in the process of purchasing the property so he could begin living and working with his clients there. I completed the purchase and, over the past five years, have dedicated myself to building, improving, and maintaining the gardens while continuing studies with Don Francisco.

It has been a profound journey — rewarding, challenging, and transformative. But today I face personal and financial hardships that make it impossible for me to continue alone.

Why this garden matters

This sanctuary is more than just land. It is a living space for plants, spirits, and lineages that Javier held dear — a place for reflection, healing, and connection with the natural world. Preserving it is both an act of love and a way to ensure that his legacy continues to nurture others.

At the same time, this project supports a local family who lives on and cares for the gardens year-round, protecting it from illegal harvest and maintaining its buildings, fencing, and medicines.

Our Goal

I am raising $8,000 — the minimal amount needed to cover one year of care, maintenance, and protection for Ayaruna Botanical Gardens.

Your contribution will directly sustain:
• A local family who safeguards the land
• Maintenance of buildings and fencing
• Protection of the sacred plants and medicines from illegal harvest

Looking Ahead

In early 2026, I will also be launching dates for a medicine retreat program at the gardens, in collaboration with Don Francisco. As a gesture of gratitude, any donations to this campaign will count as double in discounts toward attendance at one of these intimate retreats.

How You Can Help
• Donate what you can — every contribution makes a difference.
• Share this campaign with friends, students, and anyone inspired by the jungle, the medicines, Javier, or Don Francisco’s teachings.

We are also looking for more long term investors / partners / volunteers / retreat hosts to reach our goal of a fully self sustainable preserve and center for healing and study. Please reach out if you are interested!

This project is rooted in love — for the land, for the plants, and for the man whose spirit continues to inspire us. With your support, we can ensure this garden remains a vibrant place of remembrance and regeneration for years to come.

With deep gratitude,
