Help Preserve Anchorage Poynte Wetlands

Donation protected
A 110-slip marina threatens to destroy protected wetlands, displace wildlife, and devastate our Anchorage Poynte community, which is located in Egg Harbor Township, NJ within the intracoastal waterway. Our wetlands provide critical habitats for endangered diamond back turtles, great blue herons, egrets and dozens of other species. Construction and increased boat traffic would pollute the waters, erode the shoreline and cause catastrophic environmental damage. Dredging, bulkheading and pile driving would tear through fragile marshlands, destroy submerged acoustic vegetation and eliminate critical nesting and feeding areas for wildlife. The noise and vibration from construction would disrupt migratory birds, displace aquatic species and shatter delicate breeding patterns. These wetlands are living ecosystem and once they are disturbed at this scale, the damage is irreversible. Please help us protect this irreplaceable ecosystem for future generations. The funds raised will be used for environmental lawyers and experts needed to hold the township and state organizations accountable. Thank you so much.
