Help us with pre-production on our Indie film!

Hello friends!

Thank you so much for your interest in supporting our Indie filmmaking journey! I'm Joel Cocciolone, the writer and director of the upcoming feature film The Thespian!

Gofundme wants me to tell you about me. I'm an award winning writer director and actor. I'm an educator and a disaster response architect/director. I say that with pride but not a selfish pride. All the short films I've made, I've done so and to award winning quality, because of the cast and crew I've been fortunate to work with. As a teacher I can understand the ends and outs of a lesson but it's my student's comprehension that's important. While responding to a disaster such as the recent Palisades and Altadena fires, the speed, efficiency and integrity of my response was reliant on hundreds of volunteers trusting me and I them. In short, I'm just a fragment to any great art or action. For example, on my crew I have individuals like RaeAnne Carlson, herself an award winning Indie director and producer and teacher! She's one of our ADs and casting director. My DP is Fin Koch, a master behind the camera and would give you the shirt off his back and his roommate Colin Sanchez, our extras coordinator; a young indie filmmaker eager to be impactful on set and in this industry in general. Also I have people like my makeup and fx lead, Kaia, who was sourcing fx props the night she was hired till like 4am, and Daniel Murillo, our innovative prop master looking to one day take over the horror world and I bet he succeeds! Point obviously is, we are gonna f&cking kill it, and my crew is just as important as me, the writer and director.

As some of you know my goal is to sell my art work to raise funds for preproduction. I do however, realize that not everyone is going to like my art, but would still like to help with our film, so I've created this Gofundme in order to make that possible!

All funds will be used for preproduction (props, wardrobe, makeup/fx, locations, set design, etc.) or shooting of the actual film itself.

I would like to thank each one of you who does donate from the bottom of my heart. Your offer is beyond appreciated and a testament to what people can do when they believe in film as much as I do! Also want to thank Gofundme for making such possible! Cheers to people supporting people!
